Let me introduce myself. My name is Anna. I am twenty years old. I was born in Yekaterinburg on the third of January.

I finished school Number 1 in 2002. I am a student of Ural Institute for the Humanities. I am a first-year student of the Economics Department. We study many interesting subjects, such as economy, history, philosophy, English and others. I have a lot of work to do both at the Institute and at home to be ready for seminars and examinations. I study by correspondence, so I listen to the lectures twice a year. I study with great interest.

I like to read books, listen to music and spend free time with my friends. I attend a sport section.

My family is not very large. We are four in the family. We like to spend our time together. Sometimes we go to the country. But usually we stay at home, watch TV, read books, newspapers or just talk. I love my parents and my younger sister.

I also have uncles, aunts and cousins.

On week-days I usually get up at seven o'clock in the morning. I make my bed, open the window and do my morning exercises. Then I go to the bathroom where I clean my teeth and wash. If I have time, I take a shower. In ten minutes I'm ready for breakfast. I have a cup of tea or coffee and a sandwich.

After breakfast I leave home. I go to my work by bus (tram, trolleybus). It takes me forty minutes to get to my office. My work begins at nine a.m. and lasts till five p.m.

At two o'clock I have dinner at our canteen.

I have something substantial for dinner, for example, some soup, hot meat or fish. Then I drink a cup of tea or milk.

I come home at six o'clock in the evening and have a short rest, make some telephone calls and do my housework.

We study many subjects at the Institute, so it takes me two or three hours a day to get ready for my seminars and examinations. Sometimes I go to the library to take books. As a rule, I have no free time on my week-days.

Eight o'clock is supper time in our family. We all get together in the kitchen, then go to the living-room and watch TV or discuss some problems. Twice a week I go to the sport section.

At about eleven at night I go to bed.

Тема 3. MY DAY OFF

On my days off I get up later than usual, at nine or ten o'clock. I need not breakfast I watch my favourite TV programs.

I meet with my friends and we discuss our plans together, go to the museums or just walk. I like to see my friends and they often come to my place. We play chess, listen to music and talk a lot.

Sometimes when I am tired of the city traffic and noise I go to the country. I spend a lot of time in the open air and enjoy wonderful nature. In summer I swim in the river and lie in the sun if the weather is fine. In winter I ski in the forest.

In the evening all the members of our family get together. We have supper, make plans for tomorrow. Sometimes we receive guests at our place or go for a walk. I enjoy my days off.
